Ludo is currently a Senior at Boston Latin School and is one of the founders of the Docemus organization. Ludo participates as a leader in his school’s student council, is a founder of their finance and economics club, and has participated in many startup ventures through Junior Achievement, and he hopes to bring his expertise from these extracurriculars to the Docemus team. He speaks Italian fluently due to his heritage and is studying Mandarin and Spanish at school. Ludo is very passionate about soccer and captains his team in the MLS Youth Development Academy. He hopes to pursue his passion for business and economics throughout college and onwards.

Chief Logistics Officer

A Senior at Boston Latin School with roots as an immigrant from China, Xiangan’s struggle through English as a Second Language (ESL), beginning English at 7 years old personally connects with the needs of those we serve at Docemus. His gratitude for the help and support he received from his community when he was barely fluent in English motivates him to do the work he loves most: serving those in need and positively impacting the community.

From his involvement in serving his local State Representative, to his work in coaching kids through the First Tee of Massachusetts Program on golfing and life skills, Xiangan is restless for opportunities to help and serve. His experience as one of Massachusetts’ top classics students, studying abroad in Germany and China, recognition for service and leadership at Boston Latin School, and leading role in an award-winning startup company qualify his guidance. He is motivated by his career aspirations in biochemical engineering and economics.

William Hu

Chief Marketing Officer
Finance Coordinator

As a Junior at Boston Latin School and one of the founders of the Docemus program, William wanted to help students in need of personalized academic tutoring during the stressful and confusing times of pandemic-affected learning. With tutoring experience behind him as a Mandarin Chinese instructor for ages 4-12, he has always loved to socialize and connect with students of all cultures and identities. Having lived a few years in China as a child, William understands the struggles of studying English and has always had the drive to learn more.

Apart from tutoring, William has played piano for 11 years and enjoys partaking in activities involving the arts. He is also a varsity athlete of the Boston Latin School Boys Crew team, along with being the Junior State of America Northeast and Southeast State Director of Publicity and Photography. In addition to his passion for helping others, William is an annual counselor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology All Sports Summer camp, where he mentors children from ages six through thirteen.

Brando Palmarini

Chief Tutoring Officer

Brando is a Senior at Boston Latin School. He is currently part of the first varsity boat on his crew team and participates in his Junior State of America chapter. He is also involved in clubs and has been learning American Sign Language for the past year and a half. He is also fluent in Italian, as he was born and raised in Italy.

“The reason I wanted to participate in this program is simply so that kids could find resources that I couldn’t find. When I moved from Italy 5 years ago, I found it hard to locate resources that could help me with school, and most importantly with English. With Docemus we aim at not only providing kids with schoolwork aid but also at being as accessible as possible. I believe that our learning should not be impeded by this pandemic, which is why I wanted to contribute to this project as much as possible”.

Luc Azar-Tanguay

Chief Tutoring Officer

Luc is a Senior at Boston Latin School. He has done after school tutoring for the past two years as well as tutoring at his local Boston Public Library branch. He served as the co-president for the Boston Latin School Junior classical league as well as parliamentarian for the Massachusetts Junior Classical League. He went to a bilingual elementary school and has continued his Spanish studies throughout high school. Some personal interests of his are politics, basketball, and rowing.

"I want to be able to help people get through their schoolwork especially during these unprecedented times. I think so much good and so much more understanding can come from doing homework one-on-one with someone that's qualified in the subject".
